1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Zingot ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

2. Description of Service

Zingot is a web-based study platform that allows users to create, share, and play study sets through various game modes, including solo practice and multiplayer sessions. The Platform may also offer AI-powered question generation and performance analysis.

3. User Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You may not use the Platform for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.

4. User-Generated Content

• You retain ownership of any study sets, modes, or other content you create on the Platform.
• By making a set public, you grant other users a non-exclusive license to view and play that set.
• You agree not to upload content that infringes on others' copyrights, contains malware, or is otherwise harmful.
• We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms.

5. AI-Generated Content

The Platform may use third-party AI services (OpenRouter) to generate study questions and performance analysis. AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies and should be reviewed before use. We are not responsible for the accuracy or completeness of AI-generated content.

6. Multiplayer Conduct

• Users are expected to behave respectfully in multiplayer sessions.
• Harassment, hate speech, or disruptive behavior may result in removal from a session or account suspension.
• Hosts have the right to kick players from their game sessions.

7. Intellectual Property

The Zingot name, logo, and platform design are the property of Zingot. The underlying technology, including game modes, scoring systems, and platform architecture, is proprietary. You may not copy, modify, or reverse-engineer the Platform without permission.

8. Third-Party Services

The Platform integrates with the following third-party services:

• Vercel — hosting and analytics
• Render — WebSocket server for multiplayer
• TiDB Cloud — database storage
• OpenRouter — AI model access
• Google AdSense — advertising

These services have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their operation.

9. Limitation of Liability

Zingot is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to data loss, service interruptions, or inaccuracies in AI-generated content.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
